You can transfer ownership of a Home to an invited user in Freedompro Home. The invited user will have all access and permissions to manage and control the home.
Transferring home ownership to a user
Follow these steps to transfer ownership of the home system to another user:
Open the Freedompro Home app on your device.
Tap on the Menu icon at the top left, then select “Home Settings”.
If you have multiple homes, make sure you have selected the correct one.
In the Users section, select the user you want to transfer Home ownership to.
Select “Transfer Ownership”, then select “Confirm” to start the transfer operation.
You will receive a four-digit PIN Code on your Freedompro Home account e-mail.
Enter the PIN Code you received via e-mail in the appropriate section, then select “Continue” to validate the ownership transfer.
In case of wrong PIN, you will be able to try entering it again. After 5 incorrect entry attempts, you will have to close the ownership transfer operation and start a new one.
Tap on “Done” to save and complete the operation.
You have completed the ownership transfer. Wait for the invited user to accept the invitation.
If you have changed your mind, you have 30 minutes to revoke the home ownership transfer. To cancel the home ownership transfer, follow these steps:
Open the Freedompro Home app on your device.
Tap on the Menu icon at the top left, then select “Home Settings”.
If you have multiple homes, make sure you have selected the correct one.
In the Users section, select the user to whom you want to transfer Home ownership.
Tap on “Quit Ownership Transfer”, then on “Quit” to confirm cancellation of the operation.
Acquiring home ownership
Have you received an invitation notification to acquire home ownership on Freedompro Home? To accept the invitation, follow these steps:
Open the Freedompro Home app on your device.
An alert notification will appear, so tap on “Accept” to take over home ownership.
Congratulations! You are now a Homeowner.
You can also decide to decline the invitation:
Open the Freedompro Home app on your device.
An alert notification will appear, so tap on "Decline" or "Not now" to reject or postpone the ownership transfer.
Actually, you can even postpone the decision until later to take some time to think about it. In that case, you can recover the pending invitation by following these steps:
Open the Freedompro Home app on your device.
Tap on the Menu icon at the top left, then select “Home Settings”.
If you have multiple homes, make sure you have selected the correct one.
Select your user page (marked by the red dot). Then, in the “Pending Invitations” section, tap on “Ownership Transfer”.
Tap on “Accept” or “Decline” to complete the ownership transfer operation.
Warning. The invitation to take over home ownership will expire after 60 minutes.
