How to Pair a Freedompro WiFi Module with Apple Homekit

Transform your home into a smart environment in just a few minutes. Discover how to connect Freedompro WiFi modules to Apple Homekit quickly and easily: no complicated configurations or additional devices are required. It takes very little to control lights, shutters and switches with your voice.

Pairing Freedompro Wi-Fi modules with Apple Homekit can be done:
  1. by entering an 11 or 21 digit code if the first pairing has already occurred via the Freedompro Home App or other third-party Apps
  2. by scanning the QR Code if the first pairing has not yet been performed (the module is new or has been reset)

1. Pairing with Apple Homekit via code

Let's see how to pair the Wi-Fi module in the HomeKit App by scanning the code:
  1. Open the Freedompro Home App.
  2. Select the module you want to pair with the Apple Homekit app.
  3. Click on "Settings" and then on "Module".
  4. Go to "Pair with other services" and then click "Start pairing".

  6. Copy the 11 or 21 digit code that will be automatically generated.
  7. Open the Apple Homekit app.
  8. Click on the "+" symbol at the top right and then on "Add Accessories".
  9. Select the "More Options" item.

  11. Click on the "My accessory is missing" button.

  14. Click on "Enter code".

  16. Paste the 11 or 21 digit code previously generated via the Freedompro Home App, then click "Continue".
Now the module is perfectly paired with the Apple Homekit App and you can also manage the functions via the voice assistant.

2. Pairing with Apple Homekit via QR Code scanning

Warning We always recommend pairing the modules first via the Freedompro Home App. This is a fundamental step for all the advanced features of the modules to work correctly: from the self-calibration of the roller shutters, to the monitoring of consumption, through the configurator of buttons and switches, the auto-off functions and much more.

Let's see how to pair the Wi-Fi module in the Apple Homekit App by scanning the QR Code:
  1. Open the Apple Homekit app.
  2. Click on the "+" symbol at the top right and then on "Add Accessories".
  3. Frame the QR Code.
  4. Click on "Add to Home"
  5. Wait for pairing to complete.
  6. Select the room where you placed the module and click "Continue".
  7. If you prefer, you can customize the name of the form, click "Continue" again.
  8. Assign the most correct icon to the form type, click on "Continue" again and then on "Finish".
Now your module is correctly paired and ready to be controlled via App or Voice Assistant.
