After creating your home in the Freedompro Home app, the next step is to organize the interior spaces by creating rooms. This allows you to precisely control each smart device, making it easier to manage and customize your smart home. Let's look at how to create, edit, and delete rooms in just a few steps.
How to create a room
Creating a room in your smart home on the Freedompro Home app is easy. Just follow these steps:
Open the Freedompro Home app and access the home you created.
At the top right, tap the "+" symbol and click "Add Room"
Enter the name of the room where you installed the WiFi modules, e.g. living room, kitchen, bedroom, etc.
Associate the icon you prefer and click "Save"
Now you can proceed with creating all the other rooms in your smart home!
How to edit a room
You can only edit a room after pairing and configuring at least one Freedompro WiFi module in the app. Editing a room means associating or removing the accessories controlled by that specific WiFi module (such as lights, blinds, and sockets).
Practical example: You've installed a WiFi module that controls four lights, two in the living room and two in the hallway. Using the "Edit Room" function, you can assign each light to the correct room, i.e., two lights in the living room and two lights in the hallway.
Here is the procedure to follow:
Tap the three-dot icon (...) at the top left.
Select “Manage Home” then “Rooms”
Now by clicking on "Edit" you can add or remove accessories associated with the room.
When you're done, confirm to save your changes.
This way you can keep your devices always organized and perfectly connected to the right room in your smart home.
How to delete a room
Deleting a room is very simple: just click on the three-dot icon (…) in the top left, then select “Manage Home” . Select the room you want to remove and on the next screen press “Delete Room”.
