How to install Easykon for BTicino MyHome

To install Easykon for MyHome in just a few moments, follow the steps in this short article. At the end of this guide, you will finally be able to make a BTicino MyHome home automation system smart.

Attention :
For your safety and that of the components, disconnect the electrical system using the main switch before proceeding with the installation of Easykon for MyHome.
Requirements:
  1. Power supply 12/24 V AC/DC 0.1 A
  2. Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connector for connection to the local network (LAN
  3. Compatible MyHome BTicino Gateway
  4. Compatible accessories BTicino

Installing Easykon for MyHome is very simple, just follow the steps below:
  1. Attach Easykon for MyHome to the DIN rail of the electrical panel
  2. Connect the 12/24V 0.1A power cable to the top left connector
  3. Connect the Ethernet cable to the top right connector
  4. Check the wiring is correct and reconnect the power supply
After approximately 30 seconds, the status light of Easykon for MyHome turns solid magenta.

You can now Map the accessories inside your Easykon.

Mapping Easykon for MyHome

Automatic mapping

The mapping procedure of Easykon for MyHome is one of the simplest things in the world, so much so that it is more of an automatic configuration than a real mapping.

To find, identify and manage all the system accessories, Easykon for MyHome must be connected to a compatible BTicino MyHome gateway. 
  1. Access the configuration interface by entering the IP address of Easykon for MyHome in the browser
  2. Click on " Login "
  3. Press the "Sign in / Unpairing" button on the Easykon device installed on the DIN rail
  4. Select the gateway you want to connect
  5. Verify that the gateway information is correct and click " Connect " at the top right

If the connection with the BTicino gateway is successful, Easykon for MyHome automatically identifies and configures all compatible MyHome accessories in a few seconds .

Can't see some accessories in the list after automatic setup? Wait a few minutes and reload the page or try to manually check the accessory: Easykon will automatically add it to the list!

Easykon will only show compatible accessories.

Make sure the latest firmware version is installed on the Bticino gateway before connecting Easykon for MyHome.

Customizing accessories

Eaesykon for MyHome   assigns a default name (for example, bulb 01) and automatically inserts the default characteristics for each accessory. For example, the types of BTicino MyHome actuators used to control light sources, controlled sockets or switches are automatically classified as "Light".

To customize accessories:

  1. Access the Easykon for MyHome interface
  2. Click on the " Identify " icon to locate the device - the selected accessory will start flashing or moving
  3. Enter the parameters by clicking on the button with the 3 dots
  4. Change the name and/or requested characteristics
  5. Click on " Save ".

Now that you have mapped the accessories you are interested in, you can pair Easykon with the Freedompro application to manage everything better.

Attention :
Changes made from the Easykon interface will not be reflected in the MyHome SCS interface.


How to configure Easykon for BTicino MyHome with Freedompro Home

Have you always dreamed of controlling all your smart home accessories from a single app? The Freedompro app offers you a complete and innovative smart home experience! Follow the steps below to pair Easykon for MyHome with your smartphone in the blink of an eye.
  1. Download the Freedompro app;
  2. Accept the permissions requested by the application and log in with your Freedompro account. If you do not have an account, you can create one through Apple, Facebook or Google;
  3. Click the " + " in the top right corner;
  4. Click on " Detected Modules ";
  5. Select the Easykon module:
  6. Enter the 8-digit security code found on the front of the form;
  7. At this point you can place the accessories in the rooms to use the Freedompro app or skip them by clicking " Skip ";
  8. Once the process is completed, click on " Done ".
 Easykon for MyHome is now ready for use.
Once your module is installed and configured, you can proceed to pair it with smart platforms.

You can customize the settings and change the behavior of the physical controls to suit your needs.

Freedompro devices are ready to use as soon as they are connected to power; however, to get the most out of them, it is recommended to customize the type of controls connected to them.

The controls can be configured via the Freedompro Home app; in case a WiFi network is not available, this function can also be configured via WebApp.​

Status LED

You can check the color of the status LED located on the front of your Easykon for MyHome to immediately view and understand the status of the device.

Here is a list of the status LED color meanings:

🔵 Solid blue: The system is up and running.
🔵 Flashing blue: The system is resetting or unpairing.
🟣 Solid Magenta: No connection to the Gateway
🟣 Blinking Magenta: No Internet connection
🔴 Flashing red: System initialization
🔴 Solid red: Ethernet cable disconnected

Reset (restore)

Resetting Easykon MyHome deletes all previous configurations, users and preferences and returns the product to factory settings.

Attention :
Resetting is an irreversible operation. All existing accessories will be replaced by the reset ones.

  • Press and hold the "Reset" button on the front using a paper clip until the status light starts flashing blue.
